I am an artist, art educator, and small business owner in Richmond, Virginia.
I made my first critter five years ago when my daughter needed a bunny in her Easter Basket. I stayed up all night sewing, but didn’t have enough time to make her bunny any clothes. In the following weeks, my daughter and I designed special outfits for what would become her “Dress-Up Bunny.” By the time I sewed a purple horn on a pair of unicorn pajamas, I knew I had found my calling. There were more critters to make and all of these critters had stories that I needed to tell.
After working with children for more than fifteen years, I am excited to apply my skillset to the craft of writing and illustrating books for children. Always the artist, I find myself inspired to make lots of other things as well. In time, I hope to share my holiday crafts, fabric designs, and other goodies online and at local artisan markets.
